The published ladder
Major League Table Tennis runs six sessions in Hall A at the Oregon Convention Center from Friday 20 November to Sunday 22 November. General admission prices run $15, $20 and $25 across the six sessions. Friday's 4:00 p.m. session and Sunday's 11:00 a.m. session cost $15. Friday 7:30 p.m. and Saturday 4:00 p.m. cost $20. Saturday 7:30 p.m. and Sunday 2:30 p.m. cost $25.
A child's ticket runs $10, $15 or $20 by session. Courtside runs $30 to $45 and the VIP platform $45 to $60. Two adults and two children enter Friday's opening session for $50.
That $50 is the reference the desk works against all weekend. A Friday rate lift above it prices the bed above the event that filled it.
Two hours a session
The format is four singles and one doubles, a ten-minute break, and the Golden Game. The league publishes about two hours of play. Seating opens 30 minutes before the first serve and the FanZone opens an hour before.
A two-hour session produces a two-hour window for food and beverage. A guest who spends the evening in the hall spends it away from the bar. This weekend's revenue sits in the room and in the parking space.
The pass and the all-in number
The weekend pass covers all six sessions. General admission is $100 and courtside $185. Six general admission singles cost $120, so the pass carries a $20 saving.
The shop adds a dynamic fee to every pass. Friday's day pass lists at $33.65 all-in against a $30 base, Saturday at $44.20 against $40, Sunday at $38.93 against $35, and the weekend pass at $107.50 against $100. Write the base price and the all-in price as two numbers in any rate comparison.
Four inclusions that cost less than a rate lift
Parking comes first. The venue garage holds 800 spaces and charges $15 for up to 18 hours, with a dynamic $15 to $25 at event entry. It allows no in-and-out and prohibits overnight parking. A guest cannot leave the car there between Friday's two sessions or across the night. The property garage carries both.
Late checkout comes second. Sunday's final serve is at 2:30 p.m. and runs about two hours. A midday checkout puts the guest in the lobby with a bag. A 4 p.m. hold covers the whole match.
Bag hold comes third. The FanZone opens at 3 p.m. for the 4 p.m. session. A guest arriving ahead of the room needs somewhere for the case.
Breakfast comes fourth. Saturday's first session starts at 4 p.m. and Sunday's at 11 a.m. Both leave the morning unclaimed.
The group tier
The league takes 10 percent off groups of 10 to 14 and 15 percent off groups of 15 or more. Groups above 20 receive on-court moments and player access through groups@mltt.com. A club booking arrives with a room block attached and commits earlier than a family of four.
Route those enquiries to group sales and quote the block with the tickets. The league publishes the discount, so the buyer already holds the ticket number.
Three moves for the weekend
Hold the Friday and Saturday rate where the market sits and bundle the parking space into it.
Price the Sunday 4 p.m. checkout as a product and name the fee at booking.
Set the Friday bag hold and the Saturday breakfast as inclusions in the rate.
Three hotels stand within 300 straight-line metres of the hall, measured from 777 NE Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd: the Inn at the Convention Center at 227 metres, the Hyatt Regency at 239 and Hotel Eastlund at 281. The guest holds options on the ticket and on the bed. The property that wins the booking puts the extras in the rate and names them at the desk.
