The window a buyer prices
San Francisco Ballet stages Nutcracker at the War Memorial Opera House from 4 to 27 December 2026. The company publishes 35 performances on 20 dates inside 24 calendar days. Fifteen dates carry two performances. Five carry one, on 4, 8, 9, 10 and 15 December. Four carry none, on 7, 14, 21 and 25 December.
Thirty-five curtains across 20 selling dates leaves four dark dates and a second curtain on 15 of them. The printed record is the evidence a buyer prices that window from.
The printed fee structure
The FAQ page states that the ticket price for every seat in the War Memorial Opera House includes a $1 or $2 facility fee. The venue carries no separate facility charge at the door.
Ticket exchanges run by ticket type. A single ticket carries a $20 per-order advance exchange fee until the day of the performance. On the performance date the fee is $25 per ticket up to three hours before the scheduled start. Exchanges inside those three hours are not allowed.
Package exchanges cost $10 per order in advance for the Flight of Four, Mini and Create Your Own packages, and that fee is waived until 17 January 2027. From the performance date the package fee reads $20 per order, again up to three hours before the start. Principal 6 Series packages carry a fee-free advance exchange.
The house clock
Every performance runs 117 minutes: Act I at 47 minutes, a 20-minute intermission and Act II at 50 minutes. A 7:00 pm curtain ends at 8:57 pm, a 6:00 pm curtain at 7:57 pm, and the 11:00 am and 4:00 pm curtains at 12:57 pm and 5:57 pm.
The plan-your-visit page closes the lobby 30 minutes after the end of a performance and states that the doors are locked then. A 7:00 pm curtain sets the last exit at 9:27 pm. Patrons who wait on transport after the close go to the North Stage Door in the north courtyard at Franklin Street, near Fulton Street.
The venue address is 301 Van Ness Avenue, at Grove Street.
What the group terms concede
Group discounts run from 20 people, booked through Ticket Services on 415-865-2000. The company publishes no group rate, no group code and no cut-off date.
Standing-room-only tickets are $10, sold in person on the day of the performance, and the section sits behind a 4-foot-4-inch wall.
Single tickets went on sale on 5 October 2026, on the company's press release stamp. The box office opens on performance days four hours before the curtain, and the company advises Will Call collection at least 45 minutes ahead.
What the record leaves unpublished
The production page publishes no price per performance, no seating capacity and no attendance figure. It carries no line on a hotel partner, a room block, a group code, a shuttle or parking.
Thirty-five performances at 117 minutes each is 4,095 minutes on stage, or 68.25 hours. That figure and the calendar are the record's own evidence for the run's density, and the organization publishes no revenue figure against them.
