Ignite's Room Block Runs Through an Unpriced Pass

Microsoft Ignite holds a four-property San Francisco room block behind the Advantage pass, a name the priced pass table does not carry. The booking route closes at 3:00 PM Pacific on 16 October 2026, and the cancellation clock on the same date carries a $200 processing fee.

The Block and the Pass That Reaches It

Microsoft Ignite 2026 holds its room block at four San Francisco properties for the 17-20 November run at the Moscone Center. The properties are the Canopy by Hilton San Francisco SoMa, the Hyatt Regency San Francisco Downtown SoMa, the Palace Hotel and the San Francisco Marriott Marquis.

The help page states that hotel booking access is limited to those four properties. It adds that reservations are available while inventory lasts and are subject to availability.

The route to a room runs through the registration record. The buyer logs in to registration and submits a request for a room at a preferred property.

The block opens on the purchase of the Advantage pass. That pass name appears twice on the event record, both times inside the one answer headed "What hotels are included with the Advantage pass?". The priced table carries the Conference pass at $2,325, the Hub-only pass at $1,625 and the free Digital pass. It carries no Advantage line.

Two Clocks on One Date

The booking cut-off reads 3:00 PM Pacific Time on Friday 16 October 2026. The cancellation answer carries a second clock on the same date, 11:59 PM Pacific Time.

Conference and Hub-only passes cancelled on or before that date are refundable less a $200 processing fee. The record publishes no refund term for a cancellation after 16 October.

The two clocks sit 8 hours and 59 minutes apart.

Registration and transfer close at 5:00 PM Pacific Time on Friday 13 November 2026. A transfer is initiated by the original registrant.

What the Supplier Publishes, and What It Withholds

The record carries no nightly rate for any of the four properties, no room count, no per-property cut-off and no distance from the venue.

The demand-side numbers sit on the venue's own pages. The Moscone FAQ reads that there are over 20,000 hotel rooms within walking distance of the centre. The booking page reads that more than two-thirds of the city's 34,000 hotel rooms are within walking distance.

The booking page also states the venue's own contracting position. The Moscone Center serves primarily to fill hotel rooms in San Francisco and potentially the surrounding area, and it offers availability to and contracts with conventions and tradeshows that draw attendees from outside the area. All events at the centre are booked by the San Francisco Travel Association.

The Paid Tiers Behind the Block

The Conference pass at $2,325 carries access to the in-person experiences at the Moscone Center campus plus the digital venue, and names lunches, snacks and beverages as included. The Hub-only pass at $1,625 covers the Hub, theatre sessions and lunch service over 17-19 November. The Digital pass is free.

A pre-day add-on is priced at $325. The same answer states the option to add it to a Conference pass becomes available closer to the event, and the record carries no booking window for it.

The event's own page data carries a scale block reading 20K+ in-person attendees, 200K+ digital attendees, 2,100+ speakers and 830+ sessions. The block carries no year label.

The Shape of the Buy

The in-person window spans four calendar days and three nights. The digital window spans three days.

The record prices three passes, names a fourth for the block, publishes no rate card behind the four properties and closes the booking route on 16 October. The cancellation term carries a fixed $200 charge, and no penalty ladder appears on the record.
