The Programme as Published
SF Sketchfest dates its 2027 edition to Jan 14 - 31 in the banner across the festival home page, over the name SF Sketchfest 2027. The page's meta description names the 24th year beside the same window. The venue page carries twelve entries across eleven street addresses.
The lodging programme sits on one page. Hotel Kabuki, a JdV by Hyatt hotel in Japantown with 225 rooms and suites, is stamped there as an Official Hotel Partner of Sketchfest 2026. The second partner is Kimpton Hotel Enso, listed with Corporate ID 787113000.
That page publishes a booking route and a telephone line. Attendees read "exclusive rates on overnight hotel stays, January 15 - February 1, 2026", a number at 415-922-3200 with the instruction to ask for SF Sketchfest, and three dated window labels. No block, rate, cut-off or minimum stay appears on the page. The page carries a lastmod of 10 November 2025 in the festival's sitemap.
Three Windows Against a Seventeen-Night Span
The three labels read Week 1 (Jan 15-18), Week 2 (Jan 19-25) and Week 3 (Jan 26-Feb 2). Read as arrival and departure pairs they cover 3, 6 and 7 nights. The stay span printed on the same page runs 15 January to 1 February 2026, which is 17 nights over an 18-day shape.
Two nights fall outside every window on that reading. Sunday 18 January and Sunday 25 January 2026 sit between the pairs. The ladder therefore covers 15 of the 17 nights the page prints.
Two Partners in One District
Hotel Kabuki occupies 1625 Post Street and Kimpton Hotel Enso 1800 Sutter Street, both in Japantown and 218 metres apart on straight-line coordinates. The partner page describes the Kabuki as within walking distance to the Fillmore District and Pacific Heights.
The twelve venue entries spread across the city. The 2026 edition's own session grid ran 216 sessions across 13 room names, among them Eclectic Box at 446 Valencia Street, the Palace of Fine Arts at 3301 Lyon Street, Fort Mason Center at 2 Marina Blvd and Cobb's at 915 Columbus Avenue.
Eighteen Nights and the Published Room Count
Fourteen January 2027 is a Thursday and 31 January a Sunday. The run holds 18 days and 18 nights, with a Monday 1 February checkout.
At the one room count the organiser publishes, 225 rooms across 18 nights gives 4,050 room nights for a full house. The Moscone Center's own booking page reads that more than two-thirds of the city's 34,000 hotel rooms sit within walking distance of the centre. Its FAQ page reads over 20,000 hotel rooms within walking distance.
Three Convention Records Inside the Window
The Moscone Center's own event feed lists three January 2027 records: Winter FancyFaire 17-19 January, the ASCO GI Cancers Symposium 21-23 January and SPIE Photonics West 30 January to 4 February. No single record covers 14-31 January.
Engine puts the city average at $165 across 3.1 million public rate observations from May 2024 to April 2026, with January at $166, December at $129 and March at $197. Its par rates are the cheapest publicly available price at the time of each search, taken 10 to 180 days before check-in. Eighteen nights at the January line gives $2,988, and the same 18 nights at the $900 the American Hotel & Lodging Association publishes as citywide spending per visitor per room night gives $16,200.
A Partner-by-Partner Offer at the Desk
A desk that takes a January call holds the telephone line, the corporate ID and four booking codes. The three window labels carry G-SFS6, G-SFS7 and G-SFS5 in their href under property code SFOJD, against G-DU2M, G-WS1O and G-TENJ in their title attributes. A fourth code for the same Kabuki property sits on the sponsors page as corp_id 47122.
Hyatt and IHG both block a scripted fetch. None of the four codes could be tested in this run.
The Position
A programme that names two properties and publishes no block, no rate, no cut-off and no minimum stay gives a January buyer one telephone number and two property names for 18 nights. The two properties sit in one district. The published ladder covers 15 nights of the 17 the same page prints. Three convention records run inside the 18-day window.
The 2027 rate is unpublished on the page carrying the programme, and that page is stamped 10 November 2025. The festival's schedule page still carries the 2026 window on a 16 January 2026 revision, while the home page banner runs 2027.
The position here is that four terms carry a group programme: contracted rooms, a rate, a cut-off date and a night count that tiles the run. The published page carries none of the four.
