No Block, No Group Code, No Cut-Off: Pricing Hardly Strictly Bluegrass 2026

Hardly Strictly Bluegrass 2026 runs three days in Golden Gate Park with no room block, no group code, no cut-off and no published attendance, so the housing line is a referral to the city visitors bureau.

The File On Hardly Strictly Bluegrass 2026

Hardly Strictly Bluegrass 2026 runs Friday 2 to Sunday 4 October across Hellman Hollow, Lindley and Marx meadows in Golden Gate Park. The organiser publishes it as a free event and sells no ticket. Gates open at 11 a.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, and performances end at 7 p.m. daily.

Read the file as a food, beverage and day-use event. That is where the published terms sit.

The Housing Answer Is A Referral

The FAQ carries one housing instruction. It asks guests to call the Chamber of Commerce, use a travel site or contact the San Francisco Convention & Visitors Bureau. Guests can book rooms on www.sfvisitor.org, or reach the Visitor Information Center on 415-391-2000, toll free on 888-782-9673 (STAY-N-SF).

That instruction names no property, no rate, no group code and no cut-off date. A buyer who wants a block, an attrition clause or a room-night minimum has nothing on the organiser's side to negotiate against. The organiser also bars camping in Golden Gate Park and names Rob Hill Campground in the Presidio and an RV park by Candlestick as the alternatives.

Waste management sweeps the park each evening. The organiser states the sweep leaves no way to save a space for the following day.

No Manifest, No Attrition Base

HSB sells no ticket. The FAQ, the schedule page and the map publish no gate count, no manifest and no attendance figure. An attrition clause needs a contracted room-night base, and the organiser publishes none.

Three Days Of Park Traffic

The programme runs 71 sets across the three days: 17 on Friday, 28 on Saturday and 26 on Sunday. Six stages carry it. They are Banjo, Swan, Towers of Gold, Rooster, Arrow and Horseshoe Hill. The schedule lists no Rooster set on Friday, so Friday runs five stages.

The gate clock and the programme clock differ. The FAQ opens the gates at 11 a.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. The schedule sets performances 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The gates stand open 28 hours across the three days and the programme runs 22, so every day opens its gates two hours before its first set.

Four entrances take the crowd: JFK Drive and Transverse Drive, Fulton Street and 30th Avenue, JFK Drive and 36th Avenue, and the South Polo Field at Middle Drive and Metson Road.

The Food And Beverage Layer

Park rules allow beer and wine in non-glass containers. Hard alcohol and glass are barred. No alcohol is sold in the park, and vendors on site sell food and non-alcoholic drinks.

The vendor page names 29 vendors across 33 stands. The FAQ places vendors in four locations: Arrow Food Meadow, JFK Food Trucks, JFK Flats and the Porch Stage Area. The vendor page sorts the stands into Arrow, JFK Trucks, JFK Flats, Swan, Horseshoe Hill and Rooster. Arrow carries nine, JFK Trucks eight, Swan eight and JFK Flats six. The Pop Nation runs a stand at JFK Flats, Swan, Horseshoe Hill and Rooster.

The site is cashless and carries no ATMs. Merchandise sells from Arrow Meadow and the Foggy Bottom Cafe only. Free water refills sit at four points. The community hotline, 415-406-9014, is monitored 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. across the three days.

The Day-Use Layer

Day use is the second priced line. The Dayuse San Francisco page, read 7 October 2026, gives an average day-room price of $119.61 and recommends The Mosser Hotel. Its card window carries 20 properties with day rates from $85 to $159, and it mixes city neighbourhoods with airport and East Bay addresses.

Engine puts the city at $165 a night across 3.1 million public rate observations from May 2024 to April 2026. October prices at $176, seven percent above the city average. September runs $192 and March $197, and 35 percent separates the cheapest month from the priciest.

The Evening Release

The 7 p.m. curtain anchors the evening. Vehicle and golf cart access on JFK halts about 6:15 p.m. for crowd safety, resumes about 45 minutes later, and cart service ends at 7:30 p.m.

The organiser points guests to the merchant corridors on Balboa Street, Clement Street and the Inner Sunset for dinner after the festival. The same corridors serve snacks and drinks on the way in.

The Position

Price Hardly Strictly Bluegrass 2026 off the published windows and off the two spend lines it feeds. The file holds three days, a 7 p.m. curtain, four vendor locations and 29 vendors, and a day-use market at a $119.61 average. It holds no block, no group code, no cut-off and no manifest.

Hardly Strictly has donated more than $4 million to music and arts organisations in the Bay Area and across the country. The copyright line on the site reads 2001 to 2026.
