The published record for 14 March 2027
Calle Ocho Music Festival runs on 14 March 2027. The organiser opens it at 11 a.m., closes it at 7 p.m., and takes 15 street blocks of Little Havana between SW 12th and 27th Avenue. Entry is free.
The event listing titles it the 49th annual Calle Ocho Festival. Those lines hold the whole operating specification: one Sunday, eight hours, 15 blocks, no ticket gate.
The crowd figure sits at series level
The home page states that Carnaval Miami events attract an average of one million attendees each year. The count covers the series and names Carnaval on the Mile and Calle Ocho inside that average.
No page publishes a single-day figure for Calle Ocho. The VIP page describes the day as thousands of festival-goers. An operator underwriting that weekend has to ask the organiser for the Sunday number.
The $40M line names its beneficiaries
The impact sentence reads: it represents an economic impact of $40M for local artists, vendors, and small businesses throughout the Greater Miami area. The about page repeats the figure and adds that it extends every year.
Set the two published series numbers against each other and the day carries $40 an attendee. That quotient spans the series calendar and every category of spend. Room revenue appears in neither number, and the organiser claims no share of it.
No page carries a hotel, a rate or a cut-off
Five pages were read on 23 October: the home page, the events index, the Calle Ocho page, the VIP Access page and the about page. None of the five contains the words hotel, lodging or accommodation. No partner property, no room block, no rate and no cut-off appears in any of them.
The organiser publishes no lodging terms for the day. Each property prices the night on its own book.
The calendar around the date
The series runs nine days, from 6 March to 14 March, with four dated events. Carnaval on the Mile holds Miracle Mile in Coral Gables on 6 and 7 March, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., in its 28th year. The Golf Classic plays Miami Lakes Golf Club on 8 March over a field limited to 144 players. The Domino Tournament holds Domino Park on 13 March, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., free. Calle Ocho closes the run on 14 March.
Four events across nine days give a visiting buyer one weekend and two midweek nights to price. The Domino Tournament sits inside Little Havana on the Saturday, so one trip covers two of the four dates.
What the festival moves
The VIP Passport page sets the day's logistics. Registration runs 12:30 to 4 p.m. at the Kiwanis tent on the Miami Dade College surface lot at 2501 SW 6th Street. The passport window runs 1 to 7 p.m. The ticket covers private transportation inside the 15 blocks and reserved parking. Public parking sits at 2620 SW 5th Street. Drink sample wristbands require an age of 21 or older.
The Calle Ocho page lists 2027 passes as coming soon, so the published passport terms describe the 2026 edition.
Those terms describe a crowd that arrives by shuttle, circulates inside the footprint and disperses at 7 p.m. The bed for that crowd sits outside the 15 blocks.
How the sponsor slots are sold
The page sells four positions above the media partners: presenting sponsor, official beer, official home and official energy drink. The slot labelled Official Home of Calle Ocho Festival carries a City of Miami logo. The Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau's mark sits among the partner logos.
No page offers a property a position in the programme, and no page names a hotel partner.
The test for an owner holding Miami inventory
Saturday 13 March is the night the calendar fixes. It carries the Domino Tournament, it precedes an 11 a.m. Sunday start, and it is the one night a visitor must hold before the festival opens.
The Sunday night answers a 7 p.m. close. A guest leaving after the last set stays Sunday or drives. A property that sells the Sunday night buys a Monday checkout.
Wednesday 10 to Friday 12 March carry no dated event. Those three nights price on the market's own base.
What a request for that weekend has to carry
A buyer asking for rooms on 13 March holds two published anchors: a series average of one million attendees and a $40M figure that names vendors and small businesses. Neither number sizes a single day.
Ask the organiser for the Sunday attendance figure in writing. Ask the property for the rate, the cancellation date and the deposit on the same call. Hold the Saturday night first, then price the Sunday.
