The Position
PASIC is dependable base demand for downtown Indianapolis across four nights. The dependence rests on the repeat booking record that the organiser and the venue publish.
Three published facts carry the position. The venue forecasts 5,200 attendees for the November 11 to 14, 2026 edition. The Percussive Arts Society's FAQ states that over 7,800 people attended PASIC in 2025. The same FAQ states that PASIC is scheduled to take place in Indianapolis, at the Indiana Convention Center, through 2028.
The organiser publishes the next two editions on its own site: November 10 to 13, 2027, and November 8 to 11, 2028. Both run Wednesday to Saturday.
Four Nights the Organiser Fixes
The 4-day badge covers Wednesday, November 11 through Saturday, November 14. The four nights sit inside that window, with departure on the following Sunday.
The registration desk opens at 5:00 p.m. on the first Wednesday. The Expo Hall runs 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. across the badge days. Four evening concerts play the Mainstage room, and the last one starts Saturday at 6:00 p.m.
Online registration closes October 29. On-site registration carries no discount, and the on-site 4-day badge is $250 for students and $400 for everyone else.
What the Block Concedes
The official block runs through MCI, the organiser's housing bureau. It lists 16 properties, and 15 of them print a room rate. The band runs from $158 at the Staybridge Suites Indianapolis Downtown Convention Center to $252 at the JW Marriott Indianapolis.
Every property publishes a 72-hour cancellation term. A cancellation inside 72 hours of check-in carries one night's room and tax.
Two dates close the block. Fifteen properties close booking on November 2, 2026, and The Westin Indianapolis closes on November 11. The Westin also opens access on October 21, against October 19 across the other fifteen.
The inventory window runs from November 8 or November 9 to November 16. That span is eight nights, and it is wider than the four nights the event fills.
The group request form was published March 24, 2026 with a deadline of September 18, 2026. The bureau routes group business of ten rooms or more through that form.
Three properties add a district charge to the rate. The Hyatt Regency Indianapolis publishes a $1 Downtown District Fee per night plus tax. The Hyatt Place Indianapolis Downtown and the Embassy Suites Indianapolis Downtown each carry a district row on their rate terms.
The Same Nights Around It
The venue's own calendar dates the surrounding convention block. The NSTA Fall Convention closes November 4 to 7 at 4,000. The Monumental Health and Fitness Expo runs November 6 at 20,000. The Midwest Healthcare Engineering Conference and Trade Show runs November 8 to 10 at 600. The IU Health Leadership Development Institute runs November 10 at 2,200. The ASHA Annual Convention runs November 19 to 21 at 13,500.
Downtown holds 7,100 hotel rooms, per the venue's own footer. The venue counts 4,700 of them connected to the Convention Center by skywalk. Visit Indy counts 12 hotels and 5,200 rooms connected on that network.
The 5,200 forecast equals 73 percent of the published downtown room count. The 5,200 is the venue's forecast for the 2026 edition. The over-7,800 figure is the organiser's count of the 2025 edition. Two publishers, two editions, and this piece reconciles neither.
What Would Falsify It
Four published items would falsify the position.
First, an organiser count below the venue forecast across two consecutive editions.
Second, the FAQ's through-2028 line replaced by a city other than Indianapolis, or either published next edition moved off its Wednesday-to-Saturday window.
Third, the convention disappearing from the venue's own calendar in the years the FAQ names.
Fourth, a housing block that drops properties or stops printing per-property close dates as the event approaches.
The Reading
Four nights. A Wednesday-to-Saturday window. A block of 16 properties priced from $158 to $252. A convention committed through 2028, with the next two editions dated on the same weekday pattern.
Three limits belong with the position. The 5,200 is the venue's forecast. The over-7,800 is the organiser's count of a prior edition. The piece carries no market-wide occupancy or revenue series for the PASIC weeks, so the position rests on the booking record and the published clocks.
