Three Date Windows, One Event
The Indiana Convention Center publishes Metal Treating Institute - Furnaces North America at 12-15 October 2026 in Exhibit Hall B, with a forecast attendance of 1,500.
The Metal Treating Institute publishes the envelope as Monday, 12 October to Thursday, 15 October 2026, and places its Fall Meeting at the Marriott Hotel Downtown Indianapolis, 350 West Maryland Ave. The show's own site heads every page 12-14 October 2026.
The programme settles the windows. Its last clock is the MTI Final Night Dinner at the Marriott, 7:30 to 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday, 14 October. The programme holds no Thursday function, so the venue's 15 October is the checkout morning.
The Clocks That Fix the Nights
Monday, 12 October opens with registration and badge pick-up at 7:00 a.m. outside Hall B, running to 6:00 p.m. Exhibitor move-in occupies Hall B across the same window. The YES IV Management Training Program runs 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Marriott for members. The FNA 2026 Kickoff Welcome Reception runs 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Marriott.
Tuesday, 13 October carries registration from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., technical sessions from 8:00 to 11:15 a.m., the FNA Business Expo on the Hall B floor from 11:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and a trade show floor reception from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m.
Wednesday, 14 October carries registration from 7:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the MTI Membership Annual Business Meeting from 7:00 to 7:30 a.m., technical sessions from 8:00 to 10:30 a.m., the Expo from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., exhibitor move-out from 2:30 to 10:00 p.m. and the members-only evening at the Marriott from 6:00 to 11:00 p.m.
Those clocks support three nights of downtown rooms. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday each carry a published function that requires the night. A fourth night requires a Sunday, 11 October arrival, and the venue's event feed lists no event on that Sunday.
What the Group Contracts
The organiser publishes its block terms. The host hotel is the Marriott Hotel Downtown Indianapolis at $229, at 350 West Maryland Ave, with a booking deadline of 25 September 2026.
The hotel page states that show management expects the FNA room blocks to sell out well in advance of the show. It asks attendees to book only the rooms they will use, and it states that rooms held and then cancelled near the meeting date could result in a penalty to the Metal Treating Institute for unused contracted rooms. The association carries the block risk.
The organiser tiers registration by date. Expo-only entry costs nothing before 1 September, $10 from 1 to 30 September and $25 from 1 to 14 October. The opening reception plus expo runs $95, $105 and $125. The opening reception, 35 technical sessions and the expo runs $349, $399 and $449. The members-only Final Night Awards Dinner runs $189, $199 and $209 and sits outside every package. The show states over 35 technical sessions across two days and two days of FNA Business Expo.
Block terms, date-tiered registration and a published penalty clause on unused rooms together describe committed demand.
The Volume Against the City
The venue footer publishes 7,100 downtown hotel rooms, and the 1,500 forecast equals 21.1 percent of that stock. The same footer gives 4,700 rooms connected to the Center by skywalk, which is 66.2 percent of the downtown count.
The host property publishes 650 guest rooms. The forecast is 2.31 times that number, so the block and the overflow land across downtown.
The market publishes two directions. The Downtown Indy Alliance snapshot, citing CoStar and STR and republished by Bradford Allen on 19 March 2026, gives downtown occupancy of 64.7 percent, an ADR of $209.11, up 12 percent, and a RevPAR of $135.20, up 13 percent.
Signia by Hilton Indianapolis arrives with three published room counts. The venue's news item gives 800 rooms with reservations from 1 February 2027. The venue's expansion page gives 803. Newmark's supply table gives 814 in a fourth-quarter 2026 slot.
What Shares the Dates
Two other events sit in the same building. The Best Practices Expo and Conference runs 13-15 October with a venue forecast of 1,200. The Indiana IT Symposium runs on 14 October in Sagamore Ballroom 4-5 with a venue forecast of 300. On 14 October the three forecasts total 3,000, which is 42.3 percent of the venue's published downtown room count.
The Position, and How to Check It
The 1,500-delegate forecast is dependable base demand for three midweek nights. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday each carry a published clock that requires the night, and the group's own contracted terms carry the commitment.
The forecast carries no fourth night. A fourth night requires a Sunday arrival, and the programme and the venue's event feed both leave that Sunday empty.
The position is checkable against the venue's Exhibit Hall B line and 1,500 forecast, the association's Monday-to-Thursday envelope, the show schedule's 7:00 a.m. Monday registration open and 11:00 p.m. Wednesday dinner close, the 25 September cut-off on the $229 block, and the three forecasts that share 14 October.
