The published programme fixes a Wednesday-to-Saturday stay
ASHA holds its 2026 Convention at the Indiana Convention Center from 19 to 21 November. The venue publisher's title block, meta description and structured data all carry that window. ASHA's own locations page carries it again.
The programme publishes a Wednesday shoulder. Board, committee and council meetings run 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday 18 November. Registration runs 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Ticketed state association pre-convention workshops run 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Thursday and Friday carry the full programme. Saturday closes at 1:30 p.m. for the exhibit hall and 4:00 p.m. for education sessions.
A three-night stay runs from a Wednesday arrival through a Saturday departure. That stay covers the Wednesday shoulder and both full programme days. It is the shape the published programme supports inside the November calendar.
Three attendance figures and one room count
The venue forecasts 13,500 in its structured attendance field and repeats the figure on its own dated schedule sheet. The venue's event page body copy says approximately 13,000. ASHA's convention footer says approximately 15,000 on every page. Three publishers carry three numbers, and no publisher reconciles them.
Downtown Indianapolis holds 7,100 rooms, on the venue's footer block. The 13,500 figure equals 1.90 attendees per downtown room. The venue also gives 4,700 rooms connected to the Center by skywalk, which is 66.2 percent of the downtown stock.
Session count, exhibitor count, and the publisher behind each
The venue page carries more than 2,500 sessions and nearly 400 exhibitors. ASHA states more than 2,500 sessions eligible for ASHA continuing education credit, and more than 300 unique businesses exhibiting each year. The session count agrees across both publishers. The exhibitor count sits at two figures, so the size of the floor follows the publisher you quote.
Two thousand five hundred sessions across three days is about 833 sessions a day. Thirteen thousand five hundred attendees against 2,500 sessions is 5.4 attendees per session. Both are arithmetic on published numbers.
The block publishes 27 rates and no cut-off date
ASHA's hotel rate list is a two-page PDF stamped as of 9/10/26. It carries 27 properties across single, double, double-double, triple and quad columns. Single rates run from 169 dollars to 300 dollars, with a median of 228 dollars. Fifteen distinct single rates cover the 27 properties, and the 131 dollar spread is 77.5 percent of the lowest rate.
Maritz Global Events is the only official registration and housing provider. The organiser states that rates are available only through its hotel reservation service, that no change fees or prepayment apply at booking, and that a complimentary shuttle runs 19 to 21 November for attendees at ASHA hotels outside walking distance. ASHA publishes no cut-off date.
The cancellation term sits in the services and policies section. Hotel cancellations must reach the property no later than 72 hours before arrival. A cancellation inside three days, or a missed arrival, carries a one-night room and tax penalty charged to the guaranteeing card. Each partner hotel manages its own cancellation rules. On the registration side, a cancellation carries a 75 dollar processing fee for in-person registration, and refund requests close on 4 December 2026.
The rotation returns, and the calendar says when
ASHA's locations page lists its future conventions through 2040: New Orleans in 2027, Denver in 2028, Atlanta in 2029, Philadelphia in 2030, Los Angeles in 2031, Chicago in 2032, Boston in 2033, San Antonio in 2034, Seattle in 2035, New Orleans in 2036, San Diego in 2037, Indianapolis again in 2038, Atlanta in 2039 and Washington, D.C. in 2040.
The rotation returns the convention to the city twelve years after this edition. The three November nights rest on the published programme. The recurring business rests on a twelve-year cycle.
The week the block lands in
The venue's live calendar carries ASHA as the last Center event before 2 December. The Percussive Arts Society International Convention runs 11 to 14 November on a 5,200 forecast. The Midwest Healthcare Engineering Conference runs 8 to 10 November, and the IU Health Leadership Development Institute follows on 10 November. After ASHA, the Center's next dated booking is the Economic Club of Indiana Luncheon on 2 December. The calendar holds no neighbour between 22 November and 1 December.
The district supply for those three nights is 4,700 connected rooms inside a 7,100-room downtown, with a published gap behind the block.
What the market adds
Downtown Indianapolis ran 64.7 percent occupancy, an average daily rate of 209.11 dollars and revenue per available room of 135.20 dollars. Bradford Allen published the snapshot on 19 March 2026 and cites CoStar and STR for the figures. The snapshot reports the rate up 12 percent and RevPAR up 13 percent year over year.
New supply arrives in the same district, and its published figures differ. Visit Indy's new-developments page puts Signia by Hilton Indianapolis at 803 rooms with a December 2026 target, a 710 million dollar project cost and 143,500 square feet of convention center expansion. Its connected-hotels page pairs the same property with 235,000 square feet of meeting space and a 50,000-square-foot ballroom at 38 stories. The venue's own April 2026 announcement prints 800 rooms and a reservation start of 1 February 2027. Bradford Allen prints 800 guest rooms in a 38-story tower. A procurement file carries the figure and its publisher.
The condition that would falsify this position
One published change would end the case. If ASHA drops the Wednesday programme day from its published schedule at a future Indianapolis edition, the third night stops being district base demand and becomes each attendee's own choice. The block, the 13,500 forecast and the 2,500-session programme would all still be published. The three-night shape is the claim, and the published Wednesday programme is the evidence for it.
