The Christmas Gift + Hobby Show runs Wednesday 11 to Sunday 15 November 2026 in the West Pavilion at the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center, 1202 E. 38th St., with entry through the North Entrance. Its organiser, Marketplace Events, publishes 375 vendors and 45,000-plus shoppers for the 77th annual edition. Its housing route is an area-hotel list naming five properties with street addresses. It publishes no rate, no cut-off date and no room count at any of them.
What the organiser conceded
One group code and one rental code. Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton at 8980 River Crossing Blvd, the only property on the list with a telephone number, carries code HOB beside the line Reserve today for 20% Off. The link resolves to a Hilton deeplink carrying group code CHHHOB, property code INDKEHX, a 10 November arrival and a 16 November departure. The window is six nights, and it opens the night before the doors and closes the night after they shut. Lazy Sunday Rentals, described as a local, women-owned Indianapolis vacation rental company, publishes code LAZYINDYCHRISTMASSHOW for 10 percent off a direct booking. That is the whole of the offer on the page: two codes, no rate held against a date and no room count held for a party.
The ground-level alternative
The Fairgrounds campground, 317-927-7500, publishes $30 plus tax per day with a hook-up and $20 plus tax without, with year-round camping, indoor showers and flush toilets, washers and dryers, electricity, sewer hook-ups, sanitary dumping stations and potable water. The venue's camping page dates full hook-up sites to April through October and electric-only hook-ups to November through March, with the dump station closed in that window. A mid-November stay therefore sits in the electric-only season. Reservations must be made before arrival, check-in runs 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. and check-out is 12 p.m.
Where the coupon list says the audience travels from
Ace Hardware coupons carry $4 off the box-office price from 15 October 2026 at 27 participating stores. The list runs from Countyline and Central Ace in Indianapolis to Carmel, Fishers, Greenwood, Noblesville, Westfield, Brownsburg, New Palestine, Martinsville, Plainfield, Rockville, Tipton, Covington, West Lebanon, Monticello, Crawfordsville, Winamac, Brazil, Lafayette, West Lafayette, New Castle, Southport and Terre Haute.
The run and the reset
Doors open at 10 a.m. every day. Wednesday and Thursday close at 7 p.m., Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m., and Sunday at 5 p.m., for 45 hours of show floor across five sessions. Two sessions finish at 8 p.m., and the next opens at 10 a.m., 14 hours later. No multi-day ticket is published, and the FAQ routes a second-day returner to the show manager in the show office.
Distance, and no shuttle
Straight-line distances from the grounds put Comfort Inn East Indy at 2295 N. Shadeland at 5.06 miles, Hampton Inn & Suites at 8980 River Crossing Blvd at 6.31 miles, Candlewood Suites Indianapolis NE at 8111 Bash Street at 6.82 miles and Hampton Inn NE Castleton at 6817 East 82nd Street at 6.94 miles. The Staybridge Suites address at 9780 Crosspoint Blvd did not resolve in the address index. None of the five sits downtown. The show's FAQ states there is no shuttle service available at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, and parking is $10.00 per day per car.
The position
On the published record this show carries a thin overnight tail. One property publishes a booking window that brackets the run. Nothing else is committed: no rate held to a date, no room count to protect and no cut-off to enforce. The $30 plus tax RV tier with a hook-up and a coupon list reaching from the metro out to Terre Haute both read as a drive-in audience, and no named property sits inside five miles.
What would change the position
A published rate with a cut-off date at any of the five properties. A room count, a pickup pace or a room-night target. A shuttle between the properties and the West Pavilion. A named property within walking distance of 1202 E. 38th St. The venue's own forecast attendance figure, which its event page for this show does not carry. Any one of those moves the route from a discount referral to a priced position.
